Do people usually stay in the city they went to college after graduation?

Some of the universities I like aren't in places I actually want to live in, but the schools have what I want. For instance, I like Carnegie Mellon, but it's in Pittsburgh, which isn't really my ideal city...i heard it's boring and family-oriented. So, is staying in the place you went to college a normal thing? not that it determines what i'll do, but i'm just wondering. also, should location be a big factor in which college you choose?
