Can someone tell me how to fix my ipod touch accelerometer?

Well say if im playing a game where you tilt the ipod touch, if i have it level horizontally the character or airplane goes right a bit. I think my ipods touch is off alignment horizontally about 5-6 degrees, i have to turn it left to keep it strait.
